Mike began his involvement with Catholic Youth programs in February 1967 as a charter member of Cub Scout Pack 317 at St. Clement Church in Lansdowne, Maryland. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 317 in April 1976. Mike has continued to serve in Scouting as an adult. He is currently a Committee Member for Special Needs Boy Scout Troop 216 in Severna Park, Maryland as well as a lifetime member of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. Mike has also served as a youth minister for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. He holds a Level 3 Youth Ministry Certification. Currently he is the Webmaster for the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. |

Mike joined the Knights of Columbus with the Father Michael J. McGivney Council #7025 in Glen Burnie, Maryland in May 2003. He served as their Grand Knight in 2005-2006. He joined the 4th Degree Admiral Benson Assembly #381 in September 2005. He served as their Faithful Navigator in 2009-2010. Mike also served as the Boy Scout Program Coordinator for the Knights of Columbus Youth Programs in the State of Maryland from July 2010 - June 2012. |

In his spare time Mike enjoys baseball, camping, reading and traveling. He also has a keen interest in Military History. Mike is a member of both the Air Force Association and the U.S. Naval Institute. He is also an Amateur Radio Operator (KB3CPV) with an Extra Class License and a Life Membership in the American Radio Relay League. |

Mike moved to the Mentor, Ohio area in the summer of 2013. He joined the St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Mentor, Ohio. He currently serves in their nursery program for the Sunday 11 AM Mass. Mike is a member of St. Bede the Venerable Council #13755. He is also a member of the 4th Degree Cardinal Newman Assembly #837. Mike became a Field Agent for the Greater Cleveland Agency in November 2013. |

Mike graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in May 1980 with a BS in Mathematics. He also received his MS in Mathematical Statistics from Marquette University in May 1982. Mike also received a MSEE in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in March 1988. Mike earned his Insurance License from the State of Ohio in September 2013. He earned his professional designations of Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) in November 2015 and his Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF) designation in June 2017. Mike is currently working on his Life Underwriter Training Counselor Fellow (LUTCF) designation. |
